Debra is a native of Tuscaloosa and a licensed mortgage loan originator. Debra is very involved in the community and her church. She has worked in the banking business for over 35 years and has been a mortgage originator for over 20 years.

Debra has been featured in Alabama Housing Finance Authority's lender spotlight. She was also selected as Who's Who among Alabama Bankers and won the Oliver Robinson Foundation's Black Achievers Award in 2013. She is currently a financial counselor for Community Works Tuscaloosa. Debra has served two terms on the board for Habitat for Humanity and as an executive board member for Safe Haven, a program for homeless veterans.
